Sr. Business Systems Administrator

Description

Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, management and support of the enterprise applications, middleware, interfaces, databases and reporting tools.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allocation of available resources
  • Manage the installation, configuration and maintenance of the business applications and environments
  • Installation and configuration of modules, patches and upgrades to the ERP(s) and other supporting systems
  • Help define, manage and administer disaster / recovery procedures and process
  • Administration and monitoring of Oracle database tasks, servers and their associated components
  • Developing, testing, implementing and monitoring integrations between ERP and business applications such as ADP, Agile, Radley Data Collection, EDI, Concur expense management, Liaison, etc.
  • Design, develop and administer business application(s) security and access controls
  • Design, develop, test and deploy user reports as needed using tools such as Crystal, IFS Report Designer and SQL
  • Establish close relationships with business analysts, stakeholders, vendor partners and technical leads
  • Create, deliver and maintain technical documentation
  • Develops and establishes department standards and procedures
  • Document incidents, problems & resolutions
  • Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve system and user problems

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements:

  • 5 – 7 years’ experience administering and managing enterprise ERP systems, such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, JDE, or MS Dynamics required. IFS 8+ preferred
  • 3 – 5 years working with database management systems, Oracle 11+ preferred
  • Experience developing, implementing and monitoring EDI transactions in a consumer or automotive environment
  • Experience developing reports in Crystal, SSRS, SQL against Oracle databases
  • Experience with integrations, data migration tools, and best practices
  • Experience with IFS Business Analytics or other business intelligence solutions
  • Understanding core operational and financial business processes in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and issues to agreed time, resources and cost deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
