Position Overview:

This position will be responsible for deploying and supporting multiple, cross-functional software applications that are requested to be implemented or that are currently in use throughout the company. Support duties will include acting as a liason between the business user community, and the IT Technical Services team, as well as outside vendors and helpdesks who provide special purpose applications.

The applications that fall under this realm include "best of breed" and off-the-shelf specialty systems which are desired to be a corporate standard. Examples of these systems are Learning management systems, expense reporting systems, MindWireless, Gensuite, Quickbase, Yammer, Poppulo, Limelight, custom database management and administration, Sharepoint, WebTrends, and potentially other  applications or application suites. 

This person should possess a general understanding of basic business processes as well as a solid high-level understanding and  background with many mainstream technologies that are the basic building blocks of numerous off the shelf software applications. Support duties may include responding to user support calls as well as managing projects to ensure all applications are deployed, upgraded and administered to appropriate version levels. In addition, this person will be involved in addressing the improvement of operational efficiencies with respect to the usage of these various applications in order to add value and achieve significant ROI.  

This person must be a self-starter, must be able to work independently, with a strong ability to follow through and maintain focus on tasks and deliverables. This individual must be very customer service oriented. PMP certified professional would be a major plus.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The individual must be a self-motivated, highly approachable individual. (S)he needs to be well versed with packaged applications, cloud-based systems and integrations, and software development and deployment methodologies. Must have a general knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, Sybase, SQL*Server.  Understanding of networking and database technologies is highly desirable.


This person must have strong relationship management skills and will work directly with numerous cross-functional stakeholders.  The desired candidate must have the ability to understand and sometimes anticipate client requirements, expectations and needs.


  • 3+ years in the information technology field
  • Good written and verbal communication and the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Education: a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
