Foothills Consulting Group Acquires Massachusetts-based OpenSource Advisors

Purchase Enhances Foothills Consulting Service Offerings; Adds national project delivery capabilities and open source expertise

Burbank, CA, April 2007 — Foothills Consulting Group (FCG) today announced that it has acquired the business and capabilities of OpenSource Advisors (OSA), a privately-held business and technology services firm based in Needham, MA. The addition of OSA will extend Foothill’s capabilities in core skill areas such as open source selection and product implementation, enterprise resource planning (ERP), business intelligence, Customer Relationship Planning (CRM) and Microsoft technologies while expanding its presence in important markets including Boston, Chicago, New York and Washington D.C.

“OpenSource Advisors is well known for its highly qualified and competent professional staff, its superior consulting capabilities, collaborative approach and achievement of client-defined results,” said co-founder Phil Ashworth of Foothills Consulting. “This acquisition is a platform from which Foothills can leverage these exceptional people and capabilities across an even broader client base.”

“This is the next step in the evolution of our company, as well as the future of professional services, and will bring benefit to both OSA and Foothills customers and employees,” said Patrick Johannes, co-founder of Foothills. “Customers will have increased access to a broader set of services and delivery options and our employees will enjoy the growth potential as part of a national company on the leading edge of technology consulting.”

“Having partnered with Foothills to help fill their clients project and strategy needs, it became apparent we had something special, and the next logical move was to join the two fast growing firms and create one first-class organization that can better serve our clients. Combining our collective strengths enables us to provide innovative and flexible solutions.” said OSA founder Paul Campbell, who will remain with Foothills Consulting as Managing Director, providing continued leadership and direction to all customer-facing sales and delivery functions. While some integration activities will begin immediately, the majority of OSA employees will remain in their current assignments, providing clients with the assurance of continuity on existing projects.
